About Cello's Pizzeria
Located at 36 St Marks Pl, New York, NY 10003, Cello's Pizzeria operates as a pizza restaurant serving New York in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In New York, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across New York on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 12β10 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (917) 475-1637. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is cellosnyc.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 1,041 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in New York and suggests consistent service.
New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Nephew told me to come here since it's his favorite and boy am I glad. There was no line but I did come on a later lunch time. I opted to try the jalapeno pepperoni for $5.59/slice. Little more then Joe's. I really did enjoy my slice of pizza. It was crispy on the bottom and the flavor combo was really good. I wanted to save room for other food items to try so I just had 1 slice. It was really good. SYOY!

Crazy rude server, too busy staring at her phone to care. I had 3 slices, 2 were fine and one was totally burned on the bottom - supposedly thatβs βhow it comesβ. Never heard of a totally burned pizza style! Got an attitude when I asked for a new slice and the new slice was also completely burnt to a crisp. Awful place, go to one of the million other pizza places in NY!

Stopped in for a quick slice and asked the staff for a recommendation. They steered me to the burrata pizza. Good pick-me-up, I was happy! The clientele are a friendly bunch, just like the staff. This feels like a βhappy placeβ where people hang out and socialize over pizza & beer.

Solid thin nyc slice! Very comparable to other places, but not better than LβIndustrie or Burrata Basil. Wish they had hot honey or other exciting flavors. - Burrata slice ($6 after tax): 8/10, lots of burrata! Crust is crispy and thin

I had a great quick bite at Celloβs Pizzeria while walking my way around Manhattan recently. The shop is low-key, but has a welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff, and really tasty slices. I ordered a marinara slice and a pepperoni + jalapeΓ±o slice, along with a cold Peroni beer. The slices were crisp but not burnt, had zero flop, and the sauce was bursting with flavor. Toppings were good on the topping slice, too. Overall the meal was quick, warm, super tasty, and satiating. I recommend checking this spot out if youβre hanging out in the East Village and are hankering for some great pizza. Or even if you just want a drinkβtheyβve got a pretty good selection to choose from.
